Neutra is our top pick for anything stone, washbasins, tubs, shower trays and tiles. Every single piece that Neutra produces is made out of single blocks of stone with no seams, just one perfect cut. Their essence comes out of the most refined quarries from Italy and other countries and finishing every piece by hand is a priority. When sourcing materials the grey and beige tones are discreetly perfect.

AK47 is the acronym of an object designed back in 1947 with materials and technical standards thought to be long-lasting. The Italian brand AK47design has embodied this definition throughout their collection of open air firepits. From outdoor furnishings to decorations these dynamic design objects are endowed with substance, nature and function. This season we recommend the “Discolo” for any occasion. It’s the only fire starter kit one can pick up and take to the beach, the mountains, or host a bonfire with friends. The perfect gift this season.
Concepts are an essential part of our design process. It helps us narrow down our ideas and establish parameters for our design projects. During one of our most recent projects, a bathroom renovation, our concept was none other than the element, water. This project was located on Palisades Beach Road, right on the sand by the Santa Monica Pier. Our client, an industry executive and avid surfer finds peace at the ocean.
Water is a purifier and cleanser of the soul and is reflective in nature. Wanting to embody these qualities we sought to use materials that shared the same attributes. The mosaic tile that we used inside the walk in shower and tub surround were translucent much like the sun when it penetrates the ocean. When programming the use of this spa bathroom, we added a whirlpool soaking tub, his and her rain shower heads, body sprayers and more. Even the stone sinks were chosen as a small representation of how the waves crash into rock formations along our California shore lines. These details help strengthen the concept and help strengthen a positive response to this bathroom as our brains make these correlations on a conscious and unconscious level.
